Retaining and retention walls serve multiple purposes in a landscaping plan, from preventing problems like drainage issues that are common in Pittsburgh, to creating an aesthetically pleasing feature on your property.

Like patios, there are many different types of materials to consider when designing your retaining wall. Our landscape design team will meet with you to understand your needs and your style and develop a plan to fit your budget.

Boulder & Natural Stone Retaining Walls are some of our favorite retaining walls to install. Not only are they aesthetically pleasing but tend to be a more cost-effective and low-maintenance option for homeowners. They require minimal maintenance once installed and are eco-friendly. Our landscape designers will often use boulders as decorative features in your landscape plan to complete the look.

Concrete Retaining Wall Blocks are used in both commercial and residential landscaping projects. They are ideal to use for load bearing walls, but can also be a practical choice for residential landscaping walls.

Quality craftsmanship

We used Bell Landscaping to construct a front retaining wall for our mulch bed and to redo a failing retaining wall in the backyard. I was impressed with the attention to detail and quality of work from the Bell team. Between the drainage system (French drain) they were able to connect to an existing storm drain, re-routing /hiding an existing downspout, all the way to the quality of craftsmanship of both our front retaining wall and back sitting wall – it was clear they take pride in their work and go above and beyond to make their customers happy.
